Sixth Grade
Teacher: Mrs. Riggles

My name is Lori Riggles. I have taught at OLQM as a fourth grade teacher for 13 years. This will be my first year as the sixth grade homeroom teacher. I have been named in Who's Who Among American Teachers twice. Many of my fourth grade projects have been featured in Montgmery Parents, The Montgomery Advertiser, and on WSFA News.

I plan to focus on three important areas to make this a fantastic year: respect, responsibility and response.

RESPECT: Students will be instructed in how to respect themselves, their peers, and adults.

RESPONSIBILITY: In an effort to prepare each student for middle school, each child will be instructed in the responsibilities of being motivated and organized students.

RESPONSE: Students will be expected to answer the call of Jesus. Service to the church, school, and other students will become a daily role for the sixth grader. Students will also work on charity projects to help those from the greater community who are in need.

Great Moments in Sixth Grade...

The students present their projects on The Ocean.
Each student researched and wrote about different creatures that live in our oceans.
MacKenzie proudly displays her poster advertising her well-thought-out colony on Neptune.

Albert Einstien for President!

The children learn about important figures in history by presenting them as presidential candidates.
