Dear Parents,
At the PTO meeting on Wednesday night, much important information was presented by School Board President Thereassa McDaniel and the head of the Save Our School committees, Charlie Colvin. Because many parents were unable to attend, this information has been attached to the newsletter sent home.
The date for a decision is fast approaching because parents need to finalize their own plans after they learn the outcome of all our efforts. Monte Carlo Night will be our last shot at raising the money needed. But it will also be a celebration of the school spirit that has allowed us to accomplish so much in such a short time. Please participate in this wonderful event; you will enjoy it!
SPELLING BEE
The OLQM school-wide spelling bee was held on Thursday in the gym. The champions from the 4 th , 5 th , and 6 th grades competed on stage under conditions intended to mimic those the winner will encounter at the next level of competition. Our congratulations go to all our students who participated in this event.
MONTE CARLO NIGHT
The School Board is sponsoring this fund-raiser to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. This adult-only event is always an entertaining evening. Buy a horse at the school office and help purchase one for the benefit of your child's class! Come play cards or shoot dice. The gambling is all done with “funny money” that can be spent to “buy” raffle tickets for some great prizes. Your ticket price includes the food and a grub stake at the tables.
