Kindergarten
Teacher: Mrs. Redden

I am the kindergarten teacher at OLQM where I have been teaching for 17 years. Before this time, I set a foundation for teaching by working with Pre-K children for 8 years. I attended Auburn University of Montgomery where I graduated witha B.S. in 1990 in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Throughout the summers while teaching at OLQM, I have continued my education through volunteering to go to many workshops. During this summer, I was one of 15 teachers in the state of Alabama that was picked to attend the Teachers' Institute in Williamsburg, Virginia. I enjoy teaching this age group because I am thrilled to have the opportunity of introducing them to their first school experience.

After hatching butterflies in our classroom, the children set them free.
A child's natural curiosity and interest in learning is fostered at Queen of Mercy from K through Grade Six.
Computer skills are built through meaningful activities that help us reinforce our skills.

Hickory Dickory Dock!

We had great fun presenting our favorite nursery rhymes.
